Seminars

Periodically throughout the year, the Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club offers seminars for the community on the topics of dog care and behavior. One of these reoccurring seminars is the Super Puppy Seminar, a Puppy 101 course for new dog owners. MKKC also offers Basic Obedience 101 Seminar as a stepping stone to the basic obedience 7-week course.

Super Puppy Two-Day Seminar (Puppy 101)

Our Super Puppy Seminar is a great opportunity to socialize your puppy and to learn what every puppy parent needs to know. The topics covered include:

• Health Care
• Behavioral Issues
• Leash Walking
• General Puppy Manners
• How to Raise a Canine Good Citizen

This seminar is intended for owners of puppies aged three to six months old. The seminar fee is $40 for both days.

Basic Obedience 101 Seminar

This seminar will serve as a great stepping stone into our 7-week basic obedience class. Fee for both days is $40. Topics will include the following:

• Focus/attention exercises
• Being the leader
• Good manners and behavioral issues
• Sits, downs, stays, recalls, and loose leash walking
